Hiking provider Timah
Timah is the best-known provider of hikes on La Gomera and offers both guided hiking tours and island tours - for all ages and fitness levels. The most popular tours include the herb hike, the fairytale forest hike and the island tour with a relaxed stroll. Every weekday there is a new, exciting hiking route on the program, so there is plenty of variety. You will find the Timah shop in La Puntilla, not far from the Hotel Gran Rey, but you can also easily book your tour online.

Whale watching with Oceano Gomera
The sustainable whale watching provider OCEANO goes out to sea in small, typically Canarian and beautifully decorated fishing boats to observe the marine mammals. There is no tourist program or anything similar - instead it is pure whale watching for 4 hours. Always on board: a maximum of 10 guests, 1 German-speaking guide and an experienced captain. Oceano is the only provider to have a "real" office, in the immediate vicinity of the famous Cacatua bar in Vueltas.
Whale Watching with Amazonia
Juan, the captain and owner of the whale watching company AMAZONIA, knows the waters in the Valle ran Rey like the back of his hand. As a former fisherman, he knows exactly where to look for the whales and dolphins. They go out in a solid boat with a sunshade and seating, and when the weather is good, Juan likes to take a swim break. And a vegetarian paella with accompanying drinks is always on board.
Gomera Activa
The provider Gomera Activa in Valle Gran Rey offers everything for water sports enthusiasts: cheap rental of snorkeling equipment, kayaks and SUP boards. You will find the small shop right on the harbor beach in Vueltas. Owner David is happy to give tips and offers guided kayak tours and stand-up paddling courses on request, ideal for beginners and families. New to the range are city bikes, perfect for relaxed tours in Valle Gran Rey. In addition, license-free inflatable boats can be rented to explore the coast on your own - a great experience for anyone who wants to discover the sea of La Gomera.
